BLUE ECONOMY TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER PROGRAMME
Funded by the Interreg Atlantic Area Programme, the EMPORIA4KT project aims to improve transnational cooperation and synergies between the triple helix players of academia, business and government, to foster innovation and competitiveness in support of the Blue Economy in the Atlantic Area. The project empowers researchers to transfer their knowledge outputs and innovations to different sectors. A major feature of the EMPORIA4KT project is the ‘Blue Economy Technology Transfer Programme’ which will be implemented in France, Ireland, Portugal, Spain and the UK. The programme will focus on developing routes to market for selected Blue Economy Early Stage Technologies (EST), carried out by teams of researchers with the support of experienced technology transfer mentors and advisors. The mentoring programme will provide training to equip early-stage researchers working in these countries with vital Knowledge Transfer (KT) skills for their future careers in Blue Economy innovation.
